Dr Christopher Boshuizen
Interplanetary Capital LLC was founded by Dr Christopher Boshuizen, an award-winning astronaut, engineer, investor, and musician with deep ties in the Aerospace Industry. An ambassador for space exploration, he speaks at conferences, universities, and youth events to inspire the next generation of explorers and creators. He is an experienced scientist with a Ph.D. in physics. Over the course of his successful career, Dr Boshuizen developed numerous relationships with industry professionals who are dedicated to science and its further development. His career at NASA provided him with the opportunity to establish long-term connections with many respected scientists. Dr Boshuizen was also the co-founder and former CTO of Planet Labs PBC, a business that received $450 million in funding, created over 700 jobs, and is presently listed on the NYSE. Dr Boshuizen’s network will prove essential in finding the right investment opportunities.
Monica Venegas
Monica is the Chief of Staff at Interplanetary Capital, where she leads strategic operations and supports the execution of the firm’s investment and STEM engagement initiatives. She works closely with the founder to translate vision into structured systems, enabling efficient decision-making across investment sourcing, diligence, and portfolio support, while also advancing cross-sector initiatives that connect science, technology, and creative engagement.
She brings a multidisciplinary background across operations, nonprofit work, and organizational development. Her early experience in behavioral health informed a systems-level perspective that continues to shape her approach to building effective, mission-driven organizations.
